Lacy Act

Lacey Act, 1900, 16 U.S.C. § 3371 et seq. This Act makes it illegal to import, export, transport, sell, receive, acquire, or purchase any fish and wildlife or plant taken or possessed in violation of any law, treaty or regulation of the United States or in violation of any Indian Tribal Law; and to import, export, transport, sell, receive, or purchase in interstate of foreign commerce any fish or wildlife taken, possessed, transported, or sold in violation of any law or regulation of any State or in violation of any foreign law. 18 U.S.C. §§41-43.
