Great Resource on Aquatic Invasive Mussels in Montana
Aquatic invasive mussels were found for the first time in Montana in 2016. Changes for boaters and water users will be dramatic.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, along with many other organizations and partner agencies have focused on the Clean, Drain, Dry message for several years. We've worked hard to educate anglers and other water users about the importance of being vigilant in the fight against all Aquatic Invasive Species. That effort has taken on a new importance. In the fall of 2016, tests came back positive for aquatic invasive mussels in Tiber Reservoir and suspect for mussels in Canyon Ferry Reservoir.
